Dún Laoghaire

Today started out with an absolutely delicious breakfast at my favorite spot in Dublin: Queen of Tarts. I work right by one, so it's the perfect spot for a lunch or tea break. The tables are tiny and the silverware is dainty. Dad kept saying he felt like he was at a tea party. Mom and Dad each got the hearty breakfast of eggs, potato pancakes, bacon and grilled tomatoes. I had the buttermilk pancakes with strawberries and bananas.

Then we had a raspberry scone and a cupcake for dessert.

After squeezing our stuffed stomachs through the door, we walked around Dublin for a bit to work off some of the food. That's when we saw this funny sign:

We headed to the DART railway station to take a quick ride to Dún Laoghaire (pronounced Dun Leary), a coastal town. We walked around the small town area for a bit and happened upon some old cars. Dad was pretty excited.

Then we headed down to the water, where we walked around and enjoyed the scenery.

It was a wonderful day.
