A run to the coast

It's a beautiful spring day in Dublin, not a speck of volcanic ash to be seen in the sky...

So Colleen and I decided to take advantage of the gorgeous weather and run to the coast, which is about three miles from DCU. We ran the whole way, listening to our iPods and chatting up a storm, as usual. When we got there, we had a nice view of the water and even a few sailboats. We took a break to chit chat for a few minutes before heading back.

Truth be told, the three miles back weren't as impressive as the run to the coast, but we ran a decent amount. I was really proud of us getting off our butts to go on a great run...maybe less so when we stopped at the Spar on the way home to pick up two chocolate bars. But we deserved them!

In other news, this volcanic ash seems to be going easy on the Kavanaugh travel plans. Looks like Patrick will get to France in a few days, and my parents are on their way to the airport as I type. I'm so excited to see them!
