Yesssssss!!!!
History and Sociology are officially finished for the semester, which means when I come back from my tour of Europe, I'll be working at my internship Monday through Thursday and then I'll have my media class on Friday mornings.
So, spring break. I will be getting in a cab tomorrow at 4:45 a.m. (yikes!) to catch a 6:55 a.m. flight from Dublin to Rome. Colleen, Molly, Caroline, Tara and I are spending three days in Rome, then hopping on a train to Florence for two days, then taking a train to Venice for one day, and, finally, hopping on a plane to Paris for the last few days of the week before coming home Saturday night.
Is this real life?!
So I will literally be backpacking through Europe for the next nine days. And because very few of you would actually believe that I am only taking one backpack, here's proof:
I'm so proud of myself that I fit every single thing I need for the next week inside this one (extremely full) bag. I've got a pair of heels, a pair of flats, flip flops for the shower, two pairs of jeans, a pair of pajama pants, about 16 shirts (some for day, some for night), four cardigans, my toiletries, my outlet adapters, my towel, and all the other necessities all accounted for. Ryan Air also counts purses as carry-ons, so I had to fit that in there, too. Although, there's a slight possibility that I may tip over at some point.
I'm so excited! I can't wait to see beautiful Italy and then get to Paris to use some of my French. Plus the food! I will be on an all carb diet for the next week and I couldn't be more excited. Bring on the pasta!
Get ready for the mother of all blog posts when I return!
Happy travels Meghan! Stay safe.
